Frankenblocks! As a wood shop we end up with quite a few smaller pieces of wood that we Frankenstein together to make one large block of wood that we then turn in to all sorts of fun shapes, letters, etc. Frankenblocks are 2" thick of solid hardwood so these are substantial, heavy pieces. Each Frankenblock is a work of art and made to order, with the maximum outside dimensions being 23" x 23" (custom orders could be as large as 23" x 35", message us for a quote on something like that).
Pick your super-vintage color, tell us your shape or letter and whether you'd like it to be wall-hung or table-top displayed.

Our 22-ish inch tall x 2" thick reclaimed wood numbers are substantial and heavy; they are hand-crafted so no two blocks are exactly the same. Great as a wedding or housewarming gift, classroom decor, mantel piece, or photo shoot prop. These are not your typical cookie-cutter numbers. After cutting and sanding, each letter is artistically finished using our 7+ step water-based finish, which leaves the final product both beautiful and glass smooth... You will want to carry this letter around with you!

Available in numbers 0 - 9, several symbols, The alphabet and in any of our colors and finishes. We think our reclaimed wood looks its best with the extra distressed "Super Vintage" finish. Each letter measures roughly 22" tall x 22" wide x 2" thick.
The example number set "36" is shown in distressed (Super Vintage) SMOKEY.
The Heart is Super Vintage PINK.
Letter B is Super Vintage GREY.
These particular blocks were built using reclaimed pine, but we use any variety of wood as long as it is real, solid and reclaimed.
These letters are designed to sit on a mantel, table or shelf, and they come on a wooden stand.
However, if you prefer to hang them on a wall, Let us know this detail in the Message to Seller box at checkout, and we will arrange to use hanging hardware instead of including the wooden base.

Frequently Asked Questions
What size frame should I order?
The frame sizes listed in our shop refer to the back opening of the frame (the size the frame will HOLD), if you do not want to add a mat we suggest a frame that is the same size as the photo/art.
The viewing area from the front will be slightly smaller to allow for the frame edge overlap.
If you do not want the frame to cover the piece at all we can size up the frame to have an "exact viewing area" of your dimensions. This request can be made in the note box during checkout.
Can I add a mat?
Yep! Mats are free for frames that are 11x14"/12x12" and smaller, larger mats come with an extra fee. Please see the link below for more info regarding mats and reach out if you have any unanswered questions :)

Yes, for sure! Send us a message and we can create a custom order. It is helpful to come to us with the following information to streamline the process:
• The dimensions of your artwork
• Frame style and color desired
Please allow up to 24 hours for a reply and refrain from sending multiple messages as it backs up our inbox causing a more delayed response.
How long will it take for a frame to ship?
All of our frames are built from scratch starting with raw wood, the process takes approximately 1-2 weeks from start to finish.
*We strive for quality over quantity so sometimes things can take longer than originally anticipated but if you're needing your order by a certain date please let us know as soon as possible so that we can do our best to accommodate :)

We can build frames any size however we are limited shipping wise. If you don't see the size you're needing please reach out and we can help point you in the right direction or go over possible options
Larger frames (anything over 11x14"/12x12") ships with high-grade plexiglass for safety during shipping. Plexiglass can be omitted if requested.
